1970 Profile: Ron Johnson

Running Back
No. 30
Michigan
"The say Ron Johnson didn't fit in well enough as a Cleveland Brown rookie last year. English translation: Ron doesn't block that well; neither does the Browns' All-Pro Leroy Kelly, and you can't have two non-blocking backs playing at the same time.
Nobody, however, knocks Johnson's ability to run with a football. At Michigan, where he was a '68 All-American, Ron was an exciting breakaway halfback. The Giants expect no less of him this season. Last year, Ron finished with 471 yards on 137 carries."
