"Don's exploits as a receiver in college were fantastic. He holds Waynesburg State's records with 18 passes caught in one game and 76 in one season, most touchdown passes caught in a game (7) and a season (20), and most yardage in a game (300) and in a season (1,145). Don's career totals included 143 catches for 2,175 yards and 30 touchdowns.
In 1969 for the Giants, Don clicked on a 62-yard pass play."
